Thoughtful strategy for hosts who care about how their stay feels

Hello!

I work with hosts who want their property to feel intentional, welcoming, and memorable: not just “fine,” and not just optimized for bookings. Through focused, experience-first consulting, I help you understand what your stay currently communicates, where it falls flat, and how to elevate the guest experience in practical, achievable ways.

This work is about alignment—between your space, your story, and the kind of guests you want to host.

Our offerings

The Sable experience audit (remote)

$500 · 75–90 minutes · virtual

This is a focused, strategic session designed to help you see your property through a guest’s eyes.

Before our call, I’ll review your listing, photos, and a short intake questionnaire. During the session, we’ll walk through how your stay currently feels, where expectations and experience may be misaligned, and what matters most to improve—without overwhelming you or turning this into a renovation plan.

This is a strategy session, not implementation. The goal is clarity, confidence, and direction.

Includes:

  • A 75–90 minute live strategy session (Zoom)

  • Review of your listing, photos, and positioning

  • Experience-focused feedback on flow, tone, and guest perception

  • A concise written summary with clear priorities and recommendations

This option works well for hosts anywhere and is often the best place to start.

The Sable experience walk-through (local)

$850–$950 · in person · SW Virginia & surrounding areas

For local hosts, I also offer an in-person walk-through that allows us to assess the guest experience directly in the space.

This session focuses on how the home feels from arrival to departure—transitions, comfort, light, ease, and the moments that shape memory. It is not a design consultation, contractor walkthrough, or renovation plan.

Includes:

  • An on-site experience walk-through

  • The same strategic framework as the remote audit

  • A written strategy summary with actionable recommendations

Availability is limited, and pricing depends on location and travel time.

What this work is (and isn’t)

This work is:

  • Experience-first, not trend-driven

  • Strategic, not overwhelming

  • Grounded in how guests actually perceive your stay

This work is not:

  • A guarantee of bookings or revenue

  • A design or renovation plan

  • Ongoing management or execution

Additional support

For hosts who want help implementing the strategy, I take on a limited number of custom engagements based on scope and availability. These projects are tailored and may include:

  • Custom property guidebooks

  • Listing copy and positioning

  • Guest communication templates

  • Local experience curation

  • Marketing or launch support

Custom work is scoped individually. Most hosts begin with an Experience Audit before moving into bespoke support.

About me

I’m Erin, a writer and strategist with an MFA in creative writing and more than two decades of experience in storytelling, editing, and marketing. I’ve worked with global brands across travel, hospitality, and technology, and I’ve spent years staying in short-term rentals around the world—paying close attention to what makes a place feel memorable versus forgettable.

Sable grew out of that combination: a belief that the best stays aren’t just well-equipped, but well-considered.
